Need to manage files directly on your WordPress website?
You want to download the plugin WP File Manager. I used it to fix a problem with optimizing my site and it worked great. I use GTMetrix to optimize my site and it said that there was an image that was causing my site to be slow. I didn’t see the image in the Media library so I directly went to where it said it was and deleted the photo I didn’t need. It worked great. If you have ever used Windows File Manager in Windows then you will know what to do. Guess what? It turns out that deleting the file didn’t solve my problem. I waited for days…

Want to add search to your WordPress site? Use Ivory Search plugin.
I wanted to have search on my website, but my theme didn’t support it. I found a great plugin called Ivory Search and it allowed me to easily add a search box to my website. It was very easy to install. You only had to do a minor amount of setup, but it is basically plug and play. You can exclude information from being searched if you want and I did that. It was a great and useful plugin for me to use personally and professionally at my company website. One of the challenging things about working with themes is that often the company that designs them doesn’t make them…

Let’s say that you have to plan something and you want to share it with others. By doing this, they can checkmark the list and then print the page. It is a cheap way to get some form functionality without messing around with complicated adobe PDF forms. Or you might want them…

Plugins sometimes need to be localized for the country you are in
One of the plugins I used in the past was created by a developer who spoke UK english. While UK english and US english have many of the same words, many are different and not everyone will understand UK slang. I realized I would need to localize the plugin and change the UK language to US language. I dug into the files of the plugin and came across where the words were listed. I downloaded a free programming tool and with that, I did a search and replace of UK terms to their english equivalents. It didn’t take very long and I was thrilled with the results. I sent the…

Strong Testimonials is the Testimonials plugin you want to use
If you want your Testimonials page looking its best, you want to use the Strong Testimonials plugin. There are so many things that are positive about this plugin. First, it is a freemium/premium plugin. You get certain things free, but if you pay then you get more functionality. I think it is a great way to make testimonials look good and you can even use it for your staff directory page. What I wanted to share about this plugin is how easy it is to use. I installed it and I made my first testimonial. Then I made a second testimonial and then I created a view that allows me…
