Do you want checklists in your posts?
It is easy to do. There is a plugin called “Checklists in Posts” and it works great. Here is how it works.
First you have to have a bulleted list of items like below.
- Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens.
- Bright Copper kettles and warm wooly mittens.
Then at the editor window you click on Add Checklist in Post and it formats It. Done! Easy right?
Why would you use this? Let’s say that you have to plan something and you want to share it with others. By doing this, they can checkmark the list and then print the page. It is a cheap way to get some form functionality without messing around with complicated adobe PDF forms.
Or you might want them because they add interactivity in your site. Or because they are beautiful. Or because there are studies that show doctors who use a checklist have less surgical problems and faster healing patients than doctors who don’t use a checklist. If it works for surgeries, it can work for less life and death things.
I have seen videos where people who have RV’s and other expensive toys use checklists when they stop or start camping somewhere. It is an easy way to make sure everything is done and nothing is missed. Checklists also make sure that you stay focused and don’t get distracted, which is something that many people do in their lives.
I love checklists and I have them in my job and personal life. I want to do so many things and checklists help keep me organized and on task. I just need more time to do all the things that I want to do.
Checklists are not for people who have bad memories. You can have a great memory and still get confused, tired or just forget something. Use a checklist and help yourself and others.
