Integrating WordPress with other applications
WordPress is working great with other SAS services. I am currently using one called ActiveCampaign and it works well.
I have created campaigns that I link to the company web pages that are landing pages for that information. This means that you can easily link and gather details about your clients so that you can determine what is useful to them.
WordPress is really good at linking with many Software as a Service applications. I have used plugins that allow information to be saved to backup storage locations, or shared with other companies. It can take some effort, but you can create ways to share information even with internal systems that your company might use. For example one company I worked for used Box, and I was able to use Box to share content from a webpage as well with a plugin that made this easy for the end user.
If you can think about it, you can do create it on a webpage. I am not a programmer, but I can look at code and figure things out. Often you can contact the author and tell them what you need, and sometimes they will work with you to do it. If not, then you can offer to pay them since they have already done the majority of the work and it might be cheaper than starting from scratch. I have worked with plugin developers to fix their code and I enjoyed it.
You don’t have to be a developer to make WordPress work. You can use the SAML or Open Authentication to make things work as well. I did that when I set up the ability of my website to automatically post to LinkedIn. What a time saver that has been. Yes sometimes it needs to be re-authenticated every 6 months to a year, but still easier than the alternative.
WordPress is an amazing platform. Just get it some time and you will grow to love it.
