Solution to Unexpected Power Outage
Living in civilization often gives people an illusion that the necessities in life are easy to obtain. We expect to have access to clean water and electricity. When we need food, we simply pay a visit to the grocery store at the corner of the block. A garbage shoot in the building and a functioning sewer system also contribute to the convenience that we often take for granted.
However, any system can have problems from time to time. The power outage happened in New York City on July 13, 2019 is an unfortunate example. More than 70,000 people were trapped in the darkness for over 5 hours Saturday night. When unexpected power outage happens, it would be helpful to have a backup power source.
In a previous post, I talked about how solar panel unit can be an eco-friendly, supplementary power source for households. After the NYC power outage, I realized that the unit can also serve as a backup power source in emergency situations.
It would be nice to have a fully charged battery at home powered by a renewable power source. When a power outage strikes, you’ll be able to keep your fridge cold, charge your phone and other devices, and most importantly, have a peaceful mind.
