Want to present information in a list in WordPress?

Then you want to use the plugin WP Restaurant Price List plugin. You can see what it does in the photo below.

As you can see, it allows you to have a graphic to the left and not have to create a slow loading table for it. Often you just need a simple effect and it is overkill to use div tags to create this. Also for people who are using mobile devices, using a small photo can be faster than the associated code.

Now of course this was designed for restaurants but often you can use plugins designed for other industries in your industry. You shouldn’t be afraid to tell plugins and think how they might make your job easier. Just because someone used it for an industry doesn’t mean that your industry can’t also benefit.

What I like about this plugin is that it doesn’t force you to list the prices. At the right you could have a price if you wanted. It also nicely makes the graphics in a circle if you want, or you can turn that off. Again having options is a really thoughtful choice by the creator of the plugin.

What is the downside of using this? So far none. If I were a restaurant I would have my menus on the ipad and save the cost of printing. If I had to complain about this plugin, it would be that it was too darn easy. I like a challenge with my plugins!

What else can I say about this? Probably that this plugin like many others get overlooked because they don’t have a ton of ratings. Don’t be afraid to try plugins that are less popular. That doesn’t mean that they are bad, it just means that people tend to go for the most popular plugins which are not always the best. The crowd is not alway right.
